Activity Mat Suggestions

With the babies reaching 6 months, we know it won’t be long before they’re mobile.

That being said, we are looking to dedicate an open area of our first floor to safely contain them at times while we save to have the upstairs playroom done by toddlerhood. ⁣⁣

For those who know me personally, or have seen some of my earlier posts, you know how pretentious I can be when it comes to the vision I have for our new house. Wood tones, solid neutral colors, a single color palette throughout - it makes me happy and something I have been waiting almost 7 years to have!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Of course, the realist in me also understands the chaos that comes with small children and the need to lower some of my standards. One of the many (selfish) reasons I had for wanting an only child was because I felt managing that balance between baby/toddler life and my style would be much more achievable, but the universe decided I was too cocky and made this much harder on me, so here we are 😂⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I am not a fan of the rainbow plastic baby toys and always gravitate towards the wooden structures or solid, neutral colors. Right now, I am looking for suggestions on those easy to clean, squishy play mats - the ones that aren’t the primary colored ABCs 👀 I’m obsessed with the colors and styles of @little_nomad_ , but always looking out for ones that may cost a little less too. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I’m thinking one of these mats paired with a nice gate, their (hopefully soon to be purchased) @jollyjumperbaby , and wooden toys will satisfy my psychotic need for consistency while still being functional! ⁣⁣
