It's my 31st birthday today!
Today this mama turns 31, and in honor of my birthday I thought I’d introduce myself to all the new followers.
My first name is Kelsey and I’m typically the one behind this account (even though Wildernest represents both my husband and I, blogs aren’t really his thing). I’m a red-headed force of nature with ideas and dreams that are, in fact, bigger than I am.
All of my life I was really good at two things - working with animals and computers. I had initially gone to college to be a Vet Tech, but was forced to switch my major due to math being my biggest downfall. I picked the next best thing, Graphic Design, and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. After working my way up the latter in design/web development, I landed my current dream job at a major local media company. My role there is Visual Web & UX Designer/Developer and I do the design/UX work for all of our websites, apps, and more.
I have a Type A personality with the perfectionist mindset that typically comes with it. The universe took one look at me and was like “give that cocky one triplets” 😂 I live to cross things off of lists and meet goals that I set out to do. When it’s not perfect, I always try again. I rather jump off a cliff than do public speaking, but get along with just about everyone I meet.
Things I hate: coffee, naps, and all alcohol 😱 Coffee tastes nasty (I’m a tea drinker) and I have this horrific fear of throwing up that has always kept me from drinking. As for naps, those are just a waste of time to me!
Things I love: beekeeping, exploring the outdoors, and video games! Although it’s been a while since a game has really sucked me in, I’ve been a gamer my entire life (Elder Scrolls is my main obsession). My affinity for the wilderness is obvious, and I find myself happiest in the woods.
Fun fact: I was pretty dead set on having an only child before being bamboozled by my uterus 😂
If I’m not stuffing diapers during my downtime, I’m usually on my laptop coming up with the next project.
So that’s the gist of it! If you have any specific questions, ask away!
